WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE IN NOVEMBER?

In November, both Tokyo and Kyoto experience pleasant, cool weather as autumn settles in.

Tokyo:

  • Temperature: The average temperatures range from around 10°C (50°F) in the early mornings and evenings to 17°C (63°F) during the day.

  • Weather: It’s typically sunny or partly cloudy, with very low chances of rain. The autumn foliage is often at its peak during November, with many parks and temples showcasing vibrant colors.

Kyoto:

  • Temperature: Kyoto's temperatures are similar, ranging from 7°C (45°F) in the mornings and evenings to 16°C (61°F) in the daytime.

  • Weather: Kyoto also enjoys crisp air and clear skies, ideal for exploring the city's many historical sites and temples. The autumn foliage in Kyoto is particularly famous, and November is one of the best times to see the leaves change color.

Both cities are quite comfortable, and it's a great time to enjoy outdoor activities like walking tours and visiting gardens or temples. Just bring a light jacket or sweater for the cooler mornings and evenings!
