What's on the Itinerary?
Our week-long itinerary is designed to cater to learners of all levels. Beginners will focus on building a foundation in grammar and vocabulary, while intermediate students will refine their conversational skills and delve into cultural topics. Advanced learners will engage in stimulating discussions and explore advanced language nuances. Each day will include a mix of classroom instruction, cultural activities, and free time for exploration. Some highlights of the week include:
Saturday: Arrivals into Mexico City and a Group Welcome Dinner
Sunday: Orientation, group breakouts, and a walking tour of the neighborhood and visit to the Frida Kahlo museum
Monday: Morning language classes and a traditional Mexican cooking class in the evening
Tuesday: A full-day excursion to the pyramids, with opportunities to practice Spanish with local guides at each level.
Wednesday: Morning language lessons, followed by a visit to the anthroplogy museum and an evening at the ballet folklorico to learn about various Mexican dances.
Thursday: Morning language lessons and a free evening
Friday: Morning language lessons and a free evening
Saturday: Group Project and Presentation, free afternoon and a goodbye dinner
*Please note, that this summer camp provides vegan meals. Though you do not have to be vegan to join, it is important to respect not bringing non-vegan foods and items into the spaces and mealtimes where we are eating vegan.
What’s Included:
Spanish Placement Test to help place you at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level
Pre-Departure Orientation and Support prior to arrival
Hotel for 8 nights at the lovely Casa Jacinta in Mexico City
Meals: Daily vegan breakfasts, 2 vegan lunches and 7 vegan dinners
Cultural Excursions: Museum visits, entry fees and activities such as visiting the pyramids, and the ballet folklorico

2 Hour Language Classes daily (except for Tuesday and Saturday): Small group setting at each level

ACCOMMODATION
We stay in a sunny villa in Mexico City on a quiet, tree-lined street in a colorful neighborhood. It is walking distance to coffee shops, lovely restaurants and neighborhoods, and Frida Kahlo’s house. It is also run by a family keeping everything small-scale and local. You may opt for a single, private room or a shared room with one other person (family or friend).
