Prachi Jain has led numerous travelers and volunteers around South Asia. Sri Lanka is one of her favorite countries. Her favorite experiences include learning about mangrove restoration and doing the elephant safari. She also loves the people of Sri Lanka who are full of gentleness and smiles, no matter what the situation. Prachi wants to protect and preserve the many cultures of Sri Lanka while showcasing it’s evolution over the years as a colony of the Dutch and British. She is grateful to all the Sri Lankans who help make this Vegan Adventure a beautiful and meaningful experience. Her favorite Sri Lankan food is Chef Sulo’s coconut curry and vegan version of the popular street food kottu roti.

Wendy Werneth of The Nomadic Vegan is a vegan travel writer who has encouraged people around the world to seek vegan food while they travel. Werneth has traveled across Sri Lanka and is keen on sharing the country’s unique vegan food recipes, natural habitat and animal conservation efforts, along with local entrepreneurs who are moving the needle on veganism and sustainability. Wendy is excited to share her love of vegan travel and curiosity for culture with travelers from around the world.

Pradeep Krishnappa is a social entrepreneur focusing on fair trade and sustainability in fashion and travel. Through numerous visits to Sri Lanka, he has fallen in love with the country’s people, spirit and landscape. He is most excited to share a train ride through Sri Lanka’s countryside and his favorite beaches with the group. He’s especially looking forward to finessing his yoga practice in the mornings! Pradeep’s favorite Sri Lankan food is hoppers and coconut sambol.
