Embark on an 11-day journey through the mystical Andean region of Peru, including the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. As a vegan travel group, we are committed to ensuring that all meals and activities align with your values, carefully sourcing ingredients to avoid animal exploitation in any form. Throughout the trip, we will honor and respect the traditions of indigenous communities and show reverence for Pachamama, Mother Earth, in every step of our adventure. What's on the Itinerary?
DAY 1 | THE ADVENTURE BEGINS
You will be picked up at Lima International Airport and hotel check-in will be available starting at 3 PM and onwards. You will be given a warm welcome and some delicious vegan snacks to help you get settled in, by our team! If your flight gets in earlier, we can show you around the neighborhood. If it gets in later, we’ll let you rest and see you in the morning.

DAY 2 | WALKING TOUR OF LIMA + OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS
After breakfast and welcome orientation, let’s explore the bustling city of Lima together on a walking tour. We’ll walk you through the historic downtown, and you’ll learn about other Peruvian cultures living within the city. Lima is filled with distinct neighborhoods and layers of interesting stories for us to uncover together. For dinner, we’ll have you try Peruvian staples at a cute, independently run vegan restaurant.

DAY 3 | CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE
After breakfast, you can choose your pace for our last day in Lima. Option one is to continue exploring the city through a coastal scenic clifftop walk through the city. Take in some of the city’s most beautiful views from El Malecón. Explore sculptures made by famous Peruvian artists, enjoy coffee by the ocean, and people watch. For those who are interested in something more adventurous, there is an optional day trip to Caral-Supe (the site of a 5,000 year old civilization). Our guide will take you to the desert to explore the archeology, history and architecture of the late Archaic Period. We’ll meet back up as a group to have an early dinner and prep for flying to Cusco tomorrow.

DAY 4 | FLIGHT TO CUSCO AND ACCLIMATIZE
Today we’ll fly to Cusco and head to our hotel in a charming town called Ollantaytambo. We’ll take the rest of the day to acclimatize to the altitude by relaxing in the hotel. Today we’ll hydrate, rest, take slow walks around town and have a homemade dinner.

DAY 5 | SPECTACULAR MACHU PICCHU
Today is the day that we will experience one of the most awe-inspiring places on Earth. We’ll start with an early morning scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes passing through the Sacred Valley with stunning views of the Andes, rivers, and small villages. A scenic bus ride will take us to the entrance of the sanctuary. Our guide will share incredible stories about this ancient city, while we learn about the mysteries surrounding its inception and re-discovery. We’ll have dinner together and take the train back to Ollantaytambo and our hotel to unwind.

DAY 6 | EXPLORING THE SACRED VALLEY
After a relaxing breakfast, take the morning off to relax and wander around the charming village of Ollantaytambo. Visit the central plaza and the beautiful souvenir market with hand-crafted items from the indigenous communities. You can even wander into the Incan part of town. Hop in and out of cute terrace restaurants and shops. In the afternoon, join us on a hike through ancient ruins and scenic landscapes to the waterfalls of Perolniyoc, perfect for a refreshing dip and reflection. Dinner tonight will be at an organic restaurant in town, that can make any Peruvian dish vegan.

DAY 7: SALT MINES AND ANDEAN COCA LEAF READING
Peru is full of natural wonders at every turn. We’ll have an action-packed morning full of visiting the circular terraces of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural site and soaking in the majestic Maras Salt Mines, a series of stunning terraced salt pools. After lunch, we will be participating in a coca leaf reading ritual, what the Andeans believe predicts destiny. We’ll work with a local healer and learn about these centuries-old rituals, while also feeling more connected to each other as a group.

DAY 8: HELLO, BEAUTIFUL CUSCO
After breakfast, we’ll head to the city of Cusco where we’ll be spending the next two nights. We’ll take you on a city tour across the town squares and the various museums, a deep dive into the rich history of the Incan civilization. Cusco has some really amazing vegan restaurants, which we’ll try for both lunch and dinner. Walk our favorite corners of the city in the evening or wander off on your own to meet back up for dinner at one of the most delicious restaurants in the country.

DAY 9: FORTRESSES + TEMPLE OF THE SUN
We continue on our Incan expedition where we’ll explore the ancient Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán, with its massive stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. Marvel at the engineering feats and spiritual significance of this awe-inspiring archaeological site. After lunch we’ll visit Qorikancha, the former Temple of the Sun, where Inca stonework and Spanish colonial architecture blend in a striking contrast. Discover its sacred history and admire the craftsmanship that once dazzled with gold-covered walls. You have the evening free to relax, get in last bits of shopping or go to your favorite dinner spot.

DAY 10: LAKE HUMANTAY AND GOODBYE DINNER
Let’s end the trip on a high! Witness the raw power of nature firsthand as we trek towards Humantay Lake. The dramatic scenery, from lush valleys to towering glaciers, will leave you breathless. The challenging hike will reward us with a surreal sight: a shimmering turquoise lake against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. We’ll head back in the late afternoon and head straight to our goodbye dinner. Tonight will be to share reflections and end the trip with new friendships!

DAY 11: AIRPORT DROP OFFS
After hotel checkout, catch your domestic flight from Cusco (booked by us) to Lima so that you can fly back to your international destination. You will be dropped off at the Cusco airport for your connecting flight to Lima. The last airport drop off will be at 6 PM.
